Point being, there are no NPCs here, though.. And yes, I thought I'd be lucky enough for the flightmaster to be here. But alas, no NPCs. But plenty of enemies to kick your ass while sneaking through. Just thought I'd mention. All it takes is a little perseverance and mountain-climbing skill.
And staying on your mount the way up, past all the basilisks.. Just keep going and dodge between 'em as best as ya can. A Vision of Ysera will appear after each. Fighing Fire With Comment by Froswaldthegreat These questlines for the zone, specifcally the ancients ones, are my favorite out of all the game.
I would still do this zone if I lost two levels from it, and got no reward but the story. Comment by Swekaka I have some problems question in this zone on my rogue. I believe I have done the Heroes Call quest to enter Hyjal and done 3 quests after.
But I can't get any followups. Comment by gemanoma This is the most phased zone of Cataclysm, and maybe of whole WoW. Comment by ShamanOne After my PC finished "The Firelord" -- he returned to the Gates of Sottham island by using the portal that was inside the cavern where the fight with Ragnaros occurred -- Commander Jarod Shadowsong did not have any quest for him. Neither did Cenarius nor any other NPC present. However, Narrat has no further instructions and does not give a quest to speak to Thrall -- which may or may not eventually prove to be important.
The rationale for the series is nonsense since I had no problems flying a griffin during the preceding and subsequent quests. Learning the interface for flying and controlling the drake can require a lot of time and effort through tedious repetition and trial-and-error experiment, and there is no further use of it once this short chain of quests ends.
The experience easily becomes a miserable one. But, in my experience, the Blizzard designer s are never happy when players deign to fulfill "vehicle" quests. Some cannot be avoided at all, such as "Slash and Burn" in the main chain, and there may or may not be consequences when others are bypassed. Note: the quest log showed "The Firelord" as completed before my PC returned to the island.
Also, he has been awarded the Achievement for completing all ? But you can never be sure, can you? Comment by Sezuel OK I think I am in Phase 2 because I have finished all the quest line for Hyjal and am now at the starting point of the Firelands quests before Thrall gets split in 4. Comment by ghost9er9er9 The pool below Nordrassil is quite deep takes about half your breathe to get to the bottom.
It looks kinda cool but there is only a rock at the bottom. Comment by i cant see any quest giver and i just did 65 quests here! Comment by i cant seem to find any quests in mount hyjal im a lvl 81 warrior i did all of vash ja quests got to mount hyjal did the heros call nd cant find anything plz help. If you have just hit lvl75 and want to get those up to early, you can easily do a good part of it here - lots of unguarded nodes.
Note: the Flight Points will only be connected to the rest of the grid if you get the Nordrassil Flight Point Alliance. Comment by ArminasSyl This place is actually the best for hunters to have a spirit beast. There are three spirit beasts, which are fairly close each other and allows your NPCScan or whatever you using to burn when one of them is up, of course, if you are standing in the right place. As you can see on the map, The Regrowth and Sanctuary of Malone are very close to each other.
There are, of course if you are a hunter you know that, two spirit beasts in The Regrowth, and one in Sanctuary. They are Ban'thalos a spectral owl with huge flags , Magria and Gondria tigers, which are probably siblings. While Magria and Gondria has the same spawn timer, Ban'thalos not, but staying there will give you, probably, the best chance around Azeroth to have a spirit beast. I just stand there and queue up some dungeons to spend my time while waiting for them, eating, showering and something else.
But because my primary object was to have Ban'thalos I spend another hours by doing dungeons, ganking some Horde's and etc, and NPCScan went off again!
I had spent my 12 hours, but I'm not regretful at all. Just keep in mind that you are in Beast Mastery spec and you have spaces for some new pets. Enjoy your time in Mount Hyjal. Comment by Yogilaw A really diverse region this. It's a good idea to gear up before going here, though the Nordrassil Q'master has some nice items at good prices. Many of the mobs hit very hard. Hugely enjoyable though.
A worthwhile trip to the AH in your home city can be very handy. OK, so the cash reserves were very depleted but for me it makes more sense than spending a fortune just to fly a bit quicker which you don't need for Cloud Serpent flying in Pandaria anyway. Comment by JBushido "Wolf's Run" in this zone may be my new favorite gank spot. Comment by Loupland One of the nicest zones in WoW. Comment by Loupland I hope this zone will never be destroyed by something like a Cataclysm :P.
Comment by Slothie Had to start questing in this zone because the wake of destruction quest is bugging out in Kelp'thar Forest. Comment by Arix0n Chuck Norris' most favorite mount ingame. He was the first and also the last to obtain it. Comment by luvil Rejoice! I saw no mention of this anywhere but it seems the portals that take you to Cataclysm zones Level 80 - 85 no longer require you to do their introduction questline to open their respective portal, which is to say, the portal is now open from the get-go.
Once you are at the top of the tree, you will get a new control: Chuck-a-Bear. Aim for the trampoline in front of Keeper Taldros and toss the bear cub onto it. Return to the Sanctuary of Malorne and turn in all your quests. Get on your flying mount and fly around The Flamewake until you find Nemesis. Land a safe distance away and place the Heap of Core Hound Innards on the ground so that Nemesis walks near them.
Once Nemesis gets in range of the Innards, he will begin to eat them, allowing you to run up to him and collect the shell fragment by clicking on him. As soon as you have the fragment, quickly get on your mount to get away before he attacks you.. Head to a small area in the south part of The Flamewake, almost directly east of the Sanctuary of Malorne. You will be in front of a cave entrance.
Find the Flameward at? Clear the area of any enemies that might attack you then right-click on the Flameward to activate it. Defend the Flameward from anything that comes out to attack it. You must use the Flap ability to make them move forward AND stay in the air. You will move forward and gain altitude the more you use the ability. Turn in Flight in the Firelands.
Accept Wave One. Using the same controls, fly into the center of the cavern. You will see many Twilight Buzzards flying around. Do this 10 times to complete Wave One. Fly back up to the ledge with Farden Talonshrike.
Turn in the quest and accept the follow up Wave Two. This quest is exactly the same as the last one, except now there are flaming boulders falling from the sky that you must dodge. If your mount gets killed, there are replacement mounts at the bottom of the cavern. Turn in Wave Two. Accept Egg Wave. This quest is much easier.
Still using the same controls, fly over to the ledges around the room and run over the eggs that are on them. Return to Farden once you have smashed 40 eggs. Turn in Egg Wave. Go all the way to the end of the cave, where you will find Nemesis. Attack him until you get the message « Nemesis is about to erupt! In this area, you need to kill 8 Twilight Instructors , which are the fire elementals wandering around.

Try to grab it when none of the Twilight Guards are close by. Leave the camp. Again, try to make sure no Twilight Guards are nearby, otherwise you will be attacked. Once you have found the battleplans, head back toward The Forge of Supplication.
Be sure to finish getting the 5 Charred Basilisk Meat and breaking 5 lodestones on the way, if you have not already done so. When I get there there is no portal, no NPC, nothing. Confused, I dropped the quest and picked it back up. Still no NPC or portal. Next I hop on over here to WoWHead and noticed some other people having issues with this quest in the past. However there was no answer to my current 5. However I managed to solve the issue on my own. Apparently someone at Blizzard decided to move Jademoon from the open, middle area of the garden to a corner, hidden behind two trees and enclosed by four pillars.
Having been used to seeing her standing in the center it's kind of shocking to see her shuffled over into a corner after 2 years and 7 classes Catacylsm. Hopefully if anyone else has a problem spying her like I did, this will help. Comment by Alma For some reason likely being at level 90 this quest won't show up on the boards for me anymore. If you're here wondering how you can unlock the Hyjal portal despite this problem, you'll need to travel to Moonglade manually to start the next step in the quest chain.
After you take the quest from Emissary Windsong and ride the dragon into Hyjal, turn the quest in and the portal will be unlocked. Comment by Totamz For those looking for the quest after 6. Happy questing! Comment by ToviValdora What Totamz said is not always right. I think they were my RAF toons that I just ran through dungeons.
Also, I could not find an NPC to start the quest example: the guy who starts Vashj'ir is by the docks and for Twilight Highlands all you have to do is talk to the King.
I flew to Mount Hyjal and stepped through the portal hoping that would "force" it open so to speak. That did not work. I could take the portal to Stormwind but I could not take it back to Hyjal.
So, I once again flew to Mount Hyjal and did the first four quest. I can't remember what they were called but it's the ones where you kill the rock dudes, feed berries to the fey drakes, burn the spy camp, and talk to Malfurion.
After I did those four quests I was finally able to step through the portal and then come back through. Comment by bambambambam If you are level 80 and looking for this quest, it's in your Adventurer's Journal shift-J by default settings, or you can click it out of the array of buttons in the generally lower right-hand portion of your screen if you are using the default UI. If you are here because you have outgrown this place and want the portal for say, farming Firelands, then the sure method I have found to unlock this portal is to get to Moonglade.
Track low level quests if you aren't familiar with the green dragon and female nelf you are looking for for Alliance anyways, but I believe it's true for both Factions , and you should find them. They will give you a quest about riding the dragon to Hyjal. Take the quest and ride the dragon. When you arrive in Hyjal, turn the quest in and your portal is now unlocked.
Comment by elzzipilf For those with boosted characters or just skipped questing trying to unlock the portal at higher levels, rather than traveling to Moonglade directly to do As Hyjal Burns right away you may want to pick this quest up from the Hero's Call Board so you can get to Moonglade easier unless you can port there as a druid or Lunar Festival is currently ongoing.
After picking this quest up you can then talk to Cenarion Emissary Jademoon to port you there. Comment by mville My level Alliance had not opened Mount Hyjall. I was able to get the opening quest from the Hero Board in Stormwind. You can fly into the garden as it has no roof.
She is in the SE corner near the portal. Talk to her and she will send you to Moonglade. I ended up using the Orgrimmar Flight Master and flying up to Moonglade. Once there I went to 45, 44 and found Emissary Windsong who had the starter quest.
